E-Session: Jillian + Andrew

Soul-Mates...  two halves of the same soul joining together in life's journey.

Anonymous

Meeting these couple for their engagement session last weekend gave me that giddy, butterfly in the stomach, kind of excitement. Both are simply reserved yet those beautiful eyes shows it all [even behind those sunglasses] were full of glitters and sparkle ... must be LOVE!

Soon to be bride Ms J told me that they're not into acting and posing in front of the camera --- i told myself this is tough knowing that i often use props to incorporate with most of my sessions. So, granting their wishes we did mostly minimal acting [though i have to say soon to be groom Mr A has potential on the acting part, LOL ... and Ms J's natural laugh is just contagious as always] --- i  essentially detached myself with them and do my own 'stalking' approach. I am proud to say, they did well ... they actually loosen up at the end + there was tons of sunshine, *happy me*.

To Jillian and Andrew: I surely had so much fun, and feel very honored to be capturing this once in a lifetime treasured moments... honestly very happy i did this for you guys, *hugs to both of you*.

Anyway, the 'teasing' and 'waiting' is over [especially to those who've been waiting for this]... Happy Viewing!

Hope you guys like and enjoy the photos... here displaying mostly my favorites of the set.

I don't think i consider myself as an artist... i think i am a person who simply would like to try anything that interest me... I even don't know how to apply make up on myself. If needed on special occasion, i still have the cheat sheet from MAC the last time i had a make up trial with them long time ago.

Planned several birthday parties with the girls and been wanting to try it out myself but due to the details that a party preparation entails, i always end up hiring someone to do 'face painting'.

Got a good deal online for workable supplies [they can get very pricey you know especially the great brands], so i said why not ... and here I am playing with my girls almost every night ... and loving it!!!

I don't consider myself as good at it, but i sure am having fun, *wink*.

Dark Attack

Did not realize how important electricity until a complete black out happen last Friday in the city of SD and neighboring communities [including some part of Mexico].

For someone who is used to random power outage in the country where i was raise and born - Philippines, the Friday incident caught me off guard --- i have to say, i got scared [thought the world will end that day, like some terrorist attack is in effect], especially when all the phones were down, not any single person in my contact list i can get hold to. Panic stricken, stress level rising. Not in this heat, not now when we only have a few batteries left + couple candles available. Quickly drove to the grocery store attempt to get the emergency supplies needed despite the uncontrolled traffic, UN-luckily all of the neighboring stores were close. Wahhhh!!!

So we [girls and I, husband has work --- and calling in sick isn't an option] ended up eating dinner and going to bed fairly early, while me staring at the blank dark wall [while fanning my girls in that warm muggy evening]... With my one and only connection to the real world --- my mobile phone at hand, intermittently checking FB/twitter status for an update on the unfavorable incident until i doze myself off late that evening.

I have to say, SD that night was pit dark ... i didn't even have the courage to grab my camera was hoping to get a coverage in that awful twilight [too chicken to get out of the house]. Power came back early morning the next day... was very glad, and very grateful.

*** My hats off to Facebook and Twitter, they were the only communications we had to the outside world when everything failed that night. I guess there is a benefit of such social networking sites, *wink*.

Trying to attempt to lighten this dark entry with my girls glittering Vegas photos :)
